Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Advanced Madison Concrete and Masonry to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or approving a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you book.

If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job.

The services we offer

Advanced Madison Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Madison, AL. We do brick, block, stone and concrete work for homes in Madison and the cities around it. You can see the work we take on from our home page and read more about our crew on our about page.

The service pages and articles on this site explain the trade in general terms. They aren't an assessment of your house, because we can't tell what your wall, chimney or foundation needs until we've seen it in person.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see that day, so it covers the work, materials and scope written on it and nothing more.

The price can change if the job turns out different from what we could see, such as damaged brick behind a veneer, soft soil under a footing or rotted framing once a section is opened up. When that happens we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on the change with you before we do extra work at extra cost.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have moved, so we may need to update the figure before we start.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll set a start date with you once you approve the estimate. Mortar and concrete need the right temperature and dry conditions to cure properly, so rain, freezing nights or extreme heat can push a start date or pause work, and we'll tell you as soon as we see it coming.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (256) 289-8018 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you're responsible for those costs and the work done so far, as your written estimate or contract spells out.

Please make sure we can reach the work area, and tell us about pets, sprinkler heads, buried lines or anything else on the property we need to work around.

Payment

Your written estimate or contract sets out what's owed and when, including any deposit and any payments due as the work moves along. Final payment is due when the work is finished as described, unless your contract says otherwise.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance where Alabama law allows it.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we built or repaired isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and work with you to fix problems that come from our workmanship.

Any specific warranty on materials or workmanship is the one written in your estimate or contract. Products like pavers, block, stone and sealers carry their makers' own warranties, and we'll pass those along to you.

Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials, so hairline cracks, color differences between batches and slight settling are normal and aren't defects. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as ground movement, drainage we didn't work on, tree roots, storms, vehicles heavier than the work was built for, or changes someone else makes later.

Apart from what's written in your estimate or contract, this website and our services come without other warranties, express or implied, to the extent Alabama law allows.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind the work we do. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, or for problems caused by conditions we couldn't see, that weren't disclosed to us, or that come from work done by others. Nothing in these terms takes away a right that Alabama law doesn't let a business limit.

How we settle a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get settled faster on site than any other way. We respond within 1 business day and will set a time to come look.

If we can't work it out between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit will be brought in the Alabama courts that serve the area where the work was done.

Which state's law applies

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to rules that would point to another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes don't apply to work under an estimate or contract you've already signed unless we both agree in writing.
